A poem to mom from a grateful daughter.

Chapter 35

Mom You Are the Greatest

 To Mom:

You brought me into this world with warmth and tenderness.

You nurtured me and you protected me when I was helpless.

When I was young, came home, and hurt my knees one day.

You smiled at me, dried my tears, and wiped the hurts away.

Mom you have planted morals and life’s integrity within me.

I am grateful because they are priceless compass guiding me.

Through the years you gave me valuable and practical advice.

Admonished me that wearing a mini skirt in public is not nice.

You sacrificed a great deal of yourself so better can I be.

Mom I am thankful for the life, joy, love, and opportunity.

The journey through life is filled with wonders and adventures

Your love and wisdom gives me strength to face the futures.

I am a young woman now. The earth waits for me to blossom.

You gave me wings to soar but forever held at your bosom.

There is a gentleman who is knocking at the door of my heart.

Mom I need you to check him before my heart journey starts.

Love is filled with wonders, joy, hurt, and challenges everyday

Mom you went though it all and seek your advice along the way.

When it is time to have my own family I want to do my best.

Mom, you are my inspiration. MOM, You Are The Greatest.
